Almojábanas are a soft, bun-shaped and slightly sweet type of cheese bread that is very popular in Colombia. Almojábanas are a delicious treat to enjoy at breakfast, morning or afternoon tea, and a perfect delight to share with friends or at social gatherings.
Guava filled Almojábanas (350g)
Cheese, Corn Flour, Tapioca Starch, Egg, Milk, Sugar, Salt, Baking Powder, Guava paste.
Grill oven (recommended): pre-heat your grill oven at 180 - 200 C, place Almojabanas on an oven tray and put it in the second oven rack for eight to nine minutes.
Microwave: place Almojábanas in the microwave for 30 - 35 seconds. Increase time depending on number of Almojabanas put at once (generally increase five seconds per each additional Almojabana you put in). Use as a guide only as appliances may vary considerably.
